CURRENT OPPORTUNITIES:

IT NETWORK TECHNICIAN

  • Location: Belleville, Ontario
  • Vacancies: 1
  • Terms of Employment: Full-time, permanent
  • Employment Conditions: Monday to Friday (Days). In office as well as occasional travel to job sites
  • Anticipated Start Date: September 2022

Your Role:

  • Configure and test firewalls, routers, VPNs, and managed switches
  • Diagnose and repair problems with computer systems, software, hardware, operating systems and networks
  • Troubleshoot and work with third party vendors
  • Maintain IT security
  • Upkeep software accounts and licenses (e.g., Microsoft, AutoCAD)
  • Backup systems
  • Specify hardware through research
  • Document and implement IT policies and procedures

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree or diploma in computer science, computer engineering, or related discipline from a recognized college or university
  • Minimum 2 years relevant work experience

Experience That Will Put You Ahead:

  • Network design (infrastructure)

ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Electrical/electronics engineering graduate from a recognized college
  • Minimum 3 years relevant work experience
  • Control system design
  • Onsite start-up and commissioning
  • Analyze and interpret specifications
  • Take customer concepts and develop detailed engineering documentation
  • Experience with: PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, motor controls, industrial networks and instrumentation
  • Proficient knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.)

Experience That Will Put You Ahead:

  • Experience leading projects

  • Cement industry
  • DCS (ex. Siemens PCS 7)
  • Knowledge of IEC standards

COMMISSIONING SPECIALIST  

  • Location: North Vancouver, British Columbia

  • Anticipated Start Date: September 2022

Your Role:

  • Conduct inspections, tests, and commission systems at the customer's facilities
  • Reference and mark-up relevant commissioning and engineering documentation
  • Document commissioning outcomes and initiate actions as required
  • Participate in meetings, including progress and site specific
  • Achieve customer requirements and goals
  • Schedule and coordinate work activities to meet objectives and deadlines
  • Contribute to on-site activities
  • Provide technical expertise
  • Work with the shipyard, Canadian Coast Guard and Classification Society representatives
  • Promote BCS services

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Electrical electronics engineering graduate from a recognized college or university
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Onsite start-up and commissioning
  • Strong customer communication skills and ability to understand needs
  • Willing to take actions and solve problems
  • Analyze and interpret specifications
  • Proficient knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Experience with: PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, motor controls, industrial networks and instrumentation
